With your help, Rosina was able to get a brand new house in just 10 days. As you’ll see below, the timing could not have been more perfect. Thank you for your prayers and financial support. Rosina not only got a new house with a metal roof, but she also got cement floors and termite protection which will help the house last for another 10 years. Below you can see a chronological development that turned an idea into someone’s safe haven from the treacherous rainy season.
Step 1) Go to a village and ask the chief who needs the most help. He’ll show you to the widow who desperately needs a new roof before rainy season.
Step 2) Make a video asking friends and family to come to her aid.
Step 3) Find a translator. Preferably one with a really cool name like, “Blessings.”
Step 4) Grab a fistful of Kwacha.
Step 5) Buy roofing supplies.
Step 6) Buy a pile of bricks…3,000 of them to be exact.
Step 7) Ask friends to do the thankless job of moving said pile of bricks with a single wheelbarrow.
Step 8) Ask villagers for help in laying the foundation.
Step 9) Pay one villager to oversee the entire project.
Step 10) Come back every few days to check up, until it’s finished.
Step 11) Praise God that the worst hail/rain storm of the year didn’t hit till the day after the roof was put on.
